Help research into residents access to the outdoors in aged care

Dear colleagues,

Have you heard about the Flinders University research project to develop ways to help residents get outdoors more often?

Being outside has lots of benefits for resident’s mood, health and overall wellbeing and also has benefits for staff and families.

We would like to know what you think prevents people living in residential care from getting outside.

You can answer this short survey (5-8 minute) if you are over 18 years old and are involved in a residential care facility in Australia in some way since January 2023 (for example, staff member, visiting health professional, family member).

To get to the survey please follow this link: https://qualtrics.flinders.edu.au/jfe/form/SV_82iWTPdWwjkW45w

This project has been approved by Flinders University’s Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC project number: 7815) and is being led by Lorraine Ng, PhD Candidate and Occupational Therapist.

We appreciate your perspectives on this important topic.
