With All Due Respect! A new aged care podcast

More questions than we give answers!

It was perhaps inevitable, after several years of cheeky online banter and robust conversations, that Open the Doors 2030 co-founders Maurie Voisey-Barlin and Michael Page would share some of their thoughts, hopes and smart-arsery via a podcast!

The podcast, With All Due Respect! went live in January 2025 and to date has 3 episodes with another 7 scheduled over the next few weeks.

It is a short, sharp podcast with the aim of keeping within 12 minutes, aim that is more improbable than our promise to ask more questions than we give answers!

This is a podcast with a difference. We confront the topics in an authentic and open way and while we are not scared to discuss or debate and feature diverse view from the mainstream, we do so – with all due respect!

Check out the podcast, which covers the serious topics in aged care and resistance to change and please do comment and contribute, follow us on Spotify and Linkedin and share with your networks.

*We acknowledge, with all due respect, the sound quality of episode 1 and 2 is not perfect and it is better in future episodes we promise!

This is where architecture comes in, as well as assistive technology. We have the means to keep people safe while respecting dignity of risk.
I’m a signator to the Dignity in Dementia Design Manifesto, published originally through ADI.
Most of all, we have to get through that cultural wall that separates people living with dementia from the wider community and civil society.
